Why can't I be a hippie?
OK OK I know it's been a while since I've updated....but it turns out...that with the move...my internet failed to comply with my blogging needs and decided not to work. But thanks to my awesome flatmate, it's up and running again! So to update you briefly on the goings-on of the last month...i got a job....working at a little coffee shop/cafe...very fun....the junky will recall it perhaps...its right on Wentworth street....right at the corner of Oxford and Wentworth...Mr. Espresso....anyways so yah..work is good...i can finally afford groceries! Nothing much else going on...when I think of something I'll post...but here's news on Byron Bay -So Subcontinental Giant and I went off on a road trip to Byron Bay a couple weeks ago..was absolutely fabulous. And after going there, I've realized, WHAT THE HELL HAVE I BEEN DOING LIVING IN SYDNEY?! Byron Bay is everything a little beach town is and way more. The city is a really laid-back surfer/hippie town and the surrounding environment is breathtaking. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side our first day there, so the pictures came out cloudy. But regardless of that...it's just beautiful. And to top it off, the night life is really awesome. It's like being in first year of uni again where you just party and pick-up in a Top 40s bar.
We stayed at the Aquarius Backpackers Motel which was like living in residence at university all over again. The place had a real communal feel and everyone just hung out with everyone. I'd definately recommend it to anyone going to Byron....anyways...so the hostel was awesome..the partying was awesome...now it's back to Sydney and the blase working life. Will post pics soon!
