Get ready kids...

So 2005 ends in just one day. Are you ready kids? The countdown is on. Plans for New Year's eve include setting up a picnic on a hill to watch the fireworks and getting smashed..and then a house party. We'll see if this year's events live-up to expectations.

In other news...the junky is back in town for one last blow-out in Sydney...very exciting. Oh and I went on my Christmas present last night: a sunset dinner cruise for two planned by one smoocherific boyfriend Subcontinental Giant. Dinner was followed by a booze-fest at the Opera Bar...fun times were had by all.

Merry Xmas Motherfuckers

Well JC's Bday has finally arrived and what a birthday it was! Went to Jade's parents' place for Xmas brunch (SG's roommate) up in Manly. Was definately good to be around a family in a proper home. Speaking of homes...her parents' house was amazing! Very gorgeous house up in Manly with a view of the ocean. Definately the highlight of the afternoon though was her Grams...who is a closet scotch fan. Here is what they gave her for Christmas:

Anyways...a feast was consumed...presents opened...you get the gist of it...its Christmas...it was fabulous.

It's all coming to an end...

Well...it's official. My roommate...the junky...moved out yesterday. And I moved out today. The bacholerette pad at the Hyde Park Plaza is an empty shell of memories. *sniff*....Most of the Canadians are gone....and Swiss Martin is gone now too! It's all ending!! I will soon be the last Canadian standing.

My new home for the next 2 weeks is at 27 Ridge...a house infamous for its chaos and debauchery. Should be fun times. After New Years..I'm off to Bangladesh for 3 weeks where I'll spend Eid with the family and head back to Sydney in time for my birthday! Woo!

When there are atrocities in the world...toofan saves the day!

Childhood memories of 80s Bollywood relived. Watched Toofan last night...Amitab is riveting in a double role as magician and Robin-Hood-type vigilante out to find his dad's killer. Both were actually twins separated at birth. AMAZING. BRILLIANT even. Cheesy tacky Bollywood at its best. And even more exciting is the brief appearance of my apartment building...and indeed my bedroom window...of the apartment I lived in in Mumbai! woo! I must admit that I went down to get Amitab's autograph when I watched the shooting of this film...(imagine a group of 5 year old girls with their colouring books to be signed..that was us..)...and he refused us! yup...the bubble was burst and my life was never the same after that. *sigh*

It's peanut butter jelly time!

Image from Flash Media file created by Ryan Gancenia Etrata
Yesterday...I discovered the banana man that likes peanut butter. His words of widsom have had a profound influence on my outlook on life. Here is some of what he told me:

Peanut butter jelly
Peanut butter jelly
Peanut butter jelly
With a baseball bat

To learn from the peanut butter banana man, turn your sound up and go
here. You will die laughing.

At one with nature...

So with all the time on our hands...and it being summer in the middle of December...we decided to get away from the city and kick-back and booze-it-up in nature for the weekend. Went out to Pittwater Youth Hostel on Morning Bay, just inside Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park outside of Sydney. Literally just a large cottage on a hill, overlooking the bay. The whole place is completely open, so you're eating dinner outside on the picnic tables with wallabies, possums, cockatoos, iguanas, magpies and a million other creatures. In fact, Dumpy had quite the chat with a resident cockatoo over dinner:

Our first day there, we had the place completely to ourselves since none of the other guests had arrived yet. We just lounged around, took naps in the hammocks and were amazed by how close we were to the animals! Our first glimpse was a wallaby with a little joey (baby wallaby..ps wallabies are like kangaroos just smaller in size) in her pouch. Also, for some odd reason there was a rather yummy looking turkey walking around the camp.

Anyways, our second day there we went on a mission to find a beach...so we ended up taking a Water Taxi (yes, you read that correctly) to Elvina North Wharf and spending the day on a completely secluded beach which we had all to ourselves. Ended the day napping, sitting, reading on the Morning Bay Wharf dock and taking in the ocean. The weekend was amazing and I definately recommend Pittwater to anyone who visits Sydney. It's just a nice getaway it you want to bum around, soak up some sun and get away from the city.

By the way...I've decided I want to eventually buy a house in Morning Bay...the place is just beautiful and it's definately the lifestyle I want. So we checked out some house prices when we got back home and found something for $399,000 Australian (which is like $347,000 Canadian)...but of course prices go up to like $2.2 million for gorgeous mansions. So that's the plan....we'll see!

Where have you been all my life?

Ohmigosh...how is it possible..that I had not discovered KARAOKE until just last nite! And not just any karaoke at some bar....this place we went to Cash Box Karaoke in Chinatown was sooo awesome. You walk in and its just a ton of private little rooms that basically looked like a brothel or porn place..it was hilarious. Anyways, so you get to have your own room with couches and tables so you feel like you're sitting in someone's living room..and you can have the bartender send your drinks to your room (beer, by the way....was DIRT cheap here..as in...$2 Australian a beer)...very cool. And this whole singing to cheesy ballads (which we all know I love) into a mic is absolutely fabulous. My childhood dreams to be a singer seemed to be realized for just a moment..*sigh*....absolutely fabulous...here are some photos:

Thank goodness for North American hair products...

After 4 months and 13 days of searching I finally found my Big Sexy Hair mousse. !! To anyone who understands the concept of brand loyalty, and to anyone who understands how important it is to have the products you love....you will understand.

On a side note, a MAJOR side note.....THEY
CANCELLED ALIAS! ahhhh!! how could they?! just when it was getting good and all crazy-like. Subcontinental Giant was unkind enough to inform me of this...and at first..I really didn't believe him...cuz come on..Jennifer Garner is just so HOT..how could they?! But alas, it's true...it's true..How will we ever know if Sydney and Vaughn make it?! *sniff* Enjoy some of it's goodness if you haven't already...before it's too late.

Ah Sydney..
