Anonymously penned, but with so much new hope. As for your Shakespeare, he is all dead and broke The life in his limbs has fled him at speed And his pen-manship has left little to see. In fact, without others, I completely despair That our friend Shakespeare has nought to declare. A man who died 'bout 5 centuries ago Will do no more talking than a rock or a stone. So now with a challenge I face you again To find this man shakespeare and make him your friend. Learn the nuance of penned prose and verse And soon you'll oppose crap like 'the curse' We'll have a huge 'poem off' between you and I With the winner deciding if the other one dies. Or maybe we can begin the love we never made And make a real thing of it and call it a date. Then maybe you'll discover just who it is Though I think you know few, who write like this.
